To great surprise I’ve finally been able to reach the WordPress Dashboard. Maybe I can begin to throw some things up top. My old email address – now dead – was still listed. Changed that.

    Thanks emma

I’m working my way through his book ‘Too much Magic’ its short and sweet.

        Thanks Emma.

I have been enjoying reading jmg of late. He is consistently on the ball (imo) and most importantly provides historic (talking way old) context.

        Social context.

Unrelated (but not really). I have been on the ‘opium wars’ bender of late. Always known about it in a vague way but never really bothered to study up on it.
Looking at in depth has been enlightening to me.

Episode 612 on ‘Unwelcome guests’ has a good interview with Frank Sanello on topic.

Good podcast site is ‘unwelcome guests’. If you don’t know of, I am sure that you will enjoy finding.

        Have a good weekend.

I’d never heard of that site, I’ve had a look it seems interesting enough stuff to write a large book on there!

If not mistaken, I read somewhere that you have something to do with libraries & books.
The UG site is arranged like a library & contains a wealth of knowledge (& some corny stuff too).

This was an interesting podcast. There were one or two dubious statements by Martenson, towards the end of the podcast he mentioned that computers would be limited by the speed of light, this of course is not correct.
I think Kunstler was pretty much spot on in what he said.
I look forward to reading his book.

    • Emmazedbend

I missed that statement by Chris Martenson, an unlikely event given that computers won’t have power soon.

      • Axel1million

Yeah, I know what you are saying; but I think computers will be one of the few things for which we will have enough for.

I think it would be brilliant if you posted a synopsis of his book .

        • Emmazedbend

Yes I might give it a try, its very short I’d say thin even on content, but I tend to buy anything by him (apart from his fiction, I’m not into fiction).

          • Axel1million

I liked his book ‘The Long Emergency’. I have never read any of his fiction. I haven’t read  fiction books since a long time… there is no need to read fiction when reality is so fascinating!

Finding solutions is very difficult in some situations and people spend a lot of time for this.
